Sarah Lawrence Campus, New York, late December. Reminds me of a post card from a dream.
Hiding in the japanese maple. Melting snow drops to the lens.
I spent a lot of my time behind a camera there, though beautiful none of the people felt real. Enjoyed watching them behind the branches.
Sunny day, leaves whistling. Watched ducks land in the iridescent water, sparkling like dragon scales. A sweet smell in the air. Spring.
Here I spent many nights resting my elbows on the white metal rail. The view was unremarkable, except in the early hours of the morning when the sun hit dew drops on the birch leaves just right. Then, right then, was a beauty I will never forget.
If only the vines reached a little further, they'd make it.
Noticed chipmunks loved to run behind that cottage, along the thick exposed tree roots so they can hide in the nooks and crannies. Spotted him, ready to speed away.
The truck was a shade red that I needed to capture. The driver stared at me while I took this picture and gave me a thumbs up after.
Waited here a few times. Kicked my shoes to the pavement. Counted the fallen leaves and arranged them by the pipe. We spotted a few deer in the forest.
Three times, actually. We got lucky.
Didn't have my camera the third time.
Red lamp in the window. Taking shots like these always makes me feel like a stalker. Next thing you know it it's them brushing their teeth through the bathroom window in the morning. The mundane.
Sitting there, I hope I didn't bother.
Awfully big, isn't it.
Caught!
